Some of our team went on an intergalactic mission this week to the 2016 Solids Handling Industry Awards held at The National Space Centre in Leicester.
Surrounded by planets and space craft, the awards dinner was held in the middle of the Space Centre. When the nominations for the ‘Company of the Year’ category were read out, our excitement rocketed when we found out we’d won!
Over the last few years we’ve boldly gone where we’ve not gone before with growth in sales of 54% between 2011 – 2015 and of 27% last year alone. Investment in the team at Dustcheck has also meant an increase in staff of 30% recently so the force with our nomination was strong from the outset.
Our investment in a new 347 square metre Stores, Assembly and Training Facility, with an increase of 50% to our manufacturing space, along with our commitment to the environment with the installation of solar panels at both sites, further supported our nomination on the night.
Sales Director, Pete ‘Milky Way’ Dawson had this to say:
“Every member of the fantastic Dustcheck Team has had an integral part to play in the success of our business. We’re so pleased to have been recognised with an industry award!â€
The awards ceremony was organised by the Solids Handling and Processing Association (SHAPA). Our Joint Chairman, Ed ‘Constellation’ Spires had also been invited to present the Innovation Award on the night, which was awarded to ‘Russell Finex.’ Somebody else commented “Materials handling is not rocket science…†but perhaps it is, watch this SPACE.
Congratulations to all of the winners on the night!
