By 1980 there were three full time employees.Seven years on Dustcheck became solely owned by the current owners, Ed and Di Spires. Having bought out the other directors it was also at this point that Dustcheck moved to China Street in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.In 1990, there was another stepped change where a further family member became part owner and Technical Director and a new manufacturing facility, ‘4-Tech’, was formed. This continued for three years before 4-Tech was absorbed into Dustcheck and, due to increased levels of business, Dustcheck moved to a larger manufacturing facility in Grove Road with five full time production staff.Working out of the two sites continued until 2005 when firstly the manufacturing facility moved to the current site, Oldfields Business Park, and a year later the remaining staff also made the move.Move onto 2014 where the Managing Directors Ed and Di Spires took the decision to step down and become ‘Joint Chair’. This made way for a reshuffle and the creation of a new management team.In 2016 Dustcheck opened a new 347 square metre Stores, Assembly and Training Facility which allowed for expansion of the current stores and manufacturing areas. This is installed with a dust and fume test unit that can be used for training purposes. In September 2017 Ed and Di Spires decided to retire and Dustcheck was acquired by Telford based Filtermist International, becoming part of the Absolent Group.
